Plant Description

Sun/part shade. A herbaceous climbing vine with glossy purple-veined leaves and fragrant 1 to 1/2 inch purple blossoms followed by 3 inch beans. It grows quickly from seed but may die back completely in cold winters. Save a few of the beans for the next year just in case. It usually reseeds on its own and returns in late spring.
